BSidesDC 2016 brought some changes to the event in the form of a venue change. The con had outgrown the Marriott Metro Center and so we moved north to the Renaissance on October 21-23, 2016. We rolled with the changes though and still brought great talks, tracks, and villages. CryptKids grew into a larger space and continued to be the most popular event at the con. In our larger space attendance continued to grow to 1111 attendees, 24 sponsors, and a legion of volunteers and staff/organizers who made the event possible. We continued to give back to the community, with donations to Hackers for Charity and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
